Undavalli Caves or Rock cut cave temple is a historic site located in  Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh are very near to Vijayawada Prakasham barriage! After visiting this place we felt it is one of the best decision we took to visit this place! Though its been many years since visiting this place it is still fresh in memory! While glancing my old pictures i felt like writing about this gem! These caves are surrounded by green fields and overlook the Krishna River.  It is one of the Archeology protected Site ,Once you enter there is big board in the entance of these caves which says: Rock Cut Cave Temple – Undavalli. An impressive four-storeyed rock cut temple probably commenced in the 6th - 7th  Century AD. It was under continuous royal patronage till 16th Century AD. The ground floor more or less is an unfinished pillared hall, while the first story house the Trinity, the second was dedicated to Anantasayana Vishnu and the top storey was intended for a triple shrine but unfinished, so

A 11th Centuary Lord Shri Rama Temple - Ammapalli

                      Shri SitaRama ChandraSwamy Temple present in Ammapally near to Shamshabad airport is a 1000 years old & a 11th century temple built by King Kalyana Chalukyulu.  There are so many specialities of this temple and is  good for visiting over Week end. It is just 30 mins Drive from Finanical District exit travelled through ORR.  This Temple is built in huge campus and has Lord Vishnu in sleeping pose at the entrance and the views of the temple during Sunset are spectacular! There are two Elephants both sides with garlands and they are so much welcoming 🙏😊! There is a Tortoise 🐢 or Kurmam in the main temple once you enter on the floor. The Lord Shri Rama idol in the temple is an Ekasila , which means the idol was built on a single stone including the Arch above the idol. A Fresh start to a new year - Short Getaway to Bidar - My First Digital Travelogue!!!

After an year of Hibernation at home we have decided for a quick get away over the first long week end of January which apparently coincides with the pongal festival !  Bidar is located at a distance of 150kms from Hyderabad and  it takes around 3 hours to reach this place.     If one is looking for a site seeing and a day tour then also Bidar has a rich historical places like Bidar fort, Nanak Jhira & few temples like Narasimha Jharna,Papanash Mahadev. Route from Hyderabad to Bidar is really nice and its a pleasent drive through NH 65 & Zaheerabad !   The Bidar Fort: As we entered Bidar We could see the walls of the Bidar fort boundaries . It is such a magnanimous fort giving the impression of glorified past of Indian history  of Bahamanis. There is an archeological museum inside the fort which displays the items collected and there is a history of Bidar on how the capital and fort has been changed from Gulbarga(Kalaburigi) to Bidar.  There are different entry points and each
